- Al Capone @ Alphonse Gabriel Capone (1899 - 1947) : Nickname "Scarface" > American gangster and businessman. Died of Syphillis while in prison in 1947.
- Albert Fish (1870 - 1936) : real name Hamilton Howard Fish > American serial killer, committed at least 3 child murders between 1924 - 1928. He was executed by eletrocution on 16 January 1936.
- Albert Henry De Salvo (1931 - 1973) : American murderer and rapist > active in Boston, known as "Boston Strangler". He murdered 13 women in Boston between 1962-64.Imprisoned until his death in 1973.
- Alfred Edward Stratton (1882 - 1905) & Albert Ernest Stratton (1884 - 1905) : The Stratton Brothers Case > the first men to be convicted in Britain for murder based on fingerprint evidence. They were both executed at 9 am on 23 May 1905 at HM Prison Wandsworth.
- Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo (1936 - 1994) : Ukrainian-born Soviet serial killer > nicknamed "The Butcher of Rostov" who sexually assaulted, murdered and mutilated at least 52 women and children between 1978 and 1990. He was convicted and sentenced to death. He was executed by gunshot in February 1994.
- Anne Bonny & Mary Read : the two most famous female pirates in the 17th century.
- Belle Gunness (1859 - 1908): born Brynhild Paulsdatter Storseth > Norwegian - American serial killer, active in Illinois and Indiana between 1884 and 1908. She died in a fire on 28 April 1908.
- Ben Kilpatrick (1874 - 1912): American outlaw, a member of the Wild Bunch gang. Arrested for robbery and served about 10 years in prison.He was killed by a hostage during a train robbery on March 12, 1912 at Sanderson, Texas.
- Beverly Gail Allitt (1968 - ) : serial killer who was convicted of murdering four infants, attempting to murder three others, and causing grievous bodily harm to further six at Grantham and Kesteven Hospital, Lincolnshire in 1991.
- Billy The Kid @ Henry McCarty @ William H. Bonney (1859 - 1881) : American outlaw and gunfighter, reputed to have carried out 11 murders. He was shot dead by Sheriff Pat Garrett.
- Blackbeard @ Edward Teach (1680 - 1718): English pirate > operated around the West Indies and the eastern coast of Britain's North American colonies.
- Blanche Barrow (1911 - 1988) : wife of Buck Barrow, the brother of Clyde Barrow. She was present at the shootout which resulted in the Barrow Gang becoming nationally recognised fugitives. She spend only four months with the gang.
- Bonnie and Clyde : Bonnie Elizabeth Parker (1910 - 1934) and Clyde Chestnut "Champion" Barrow (1909 - 1934) > American outlawas between 1932 and 1934. Both were shot dead by the Police in Bienville Parish, Louisiana on 23 May 1934.
- Bruno Ludke (1908 - 1944): German serial killer > committed 85 murders and was arrested in 1943. He was killed 8 April 1944 durign the Nazi regime without a trial.
- Buck Barrow (1903 - 1933) : real name Marvin Ivan "Buck" Barrow : older brother of Clyde Barrow leader of Barrow Gang. He died of his wound in 1933.
- Butch Cassidy @ Robert LeRoy Parker (1866 - 1908): American train and bank robber and the leader of a gang of criminal outlaws knows as the "Wild Bunch" in the Old West. He kill himself on November 7, 1980 during a shootout at San Vicentle, Bolivia.
- Charles Arthur Floyd(1904 - 1934) : nicknamed Pretty Boy Floyd > an American Bank Robber - He was pursued and killed by a group of Bureau of Investigation (BOI, later renamed FBI) agents led by Melvin Purvis.
- Charlotte Badger (1778 - 1843) : Australia's first female pirate.
- Cherokee Bill @ Crawford Goldsby (1876 - 1896) : American outlaw > responsible for the murders of 8 men (including his brother in law). He and his gang terrorized the Indian Territory for over two years.
- Christopher J. Scarver Sr. (1969 - ) American convicted murderer > best known for the 1994 murders of his fellow inmates, Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson, both convicted murderew at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Wisconsin, U.S.A.
- D.B. Cooper : also known as Dan Cooper > an unidentified man who hijacked Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305 on 24 November 1971. His status is Missing / Unidentified.
- David Berkowitz (1953 - ) born Richard David Falco > also known as "Son of Sam" - American Serial Killer that terrorized New York between 1976 - 77.
- Donald Harvey (1952 - 2017) : American serial killer, claimed to have murdered 87 people, though he has 37 confirmed victims. He served 28 life sentences at Toledo Correctional Institution in Toledo, Ohio, U.S.A.
- Earle Leonard Nelson (1897 - 1928) : American serial killer, rapist and necrophile > also known as the Gorilla Man, committing numerous rapes in February 1926. He was executed by hanging in Winnipeg in 1928.
- Edward Theodore Gein (1906 - 1984) : "The Butcher of Plainfield" > suspected serial killer and body snatcher. Committed crimes around his hometown of Palinfield,Wisconsin. He confessed of killing 2 women. Died at Mendota Mental Health Institute from respiratory failure resulting from lung cancer on July 26, 1984.
- Edward William Pritchard,Dr. (1825 - 1865) : English doctor who was convicted of murdering his wife and mother in law by poisoning them, also suspected of murdering a servant gir., but was never tried for this crime. The last person to be publicly executed in Glasgow.
- Elizabeth Bathory 1560 - 1614) : Countess Elizabeth Bathory of Ecsed > Hungarian noblewoman and alleged serial killer. She and four of her servants were accused of torturing and killing hundreds of girls and women from 1590 to 1610. They were convicted - the servants were executed while Bathory was imprisoned.
- Elmer J. McCurdy (188j0 - 1911): an American outlaw who was killed in a shoot-out with police after robbing a train in Oklahoma in October 1911.
- Elzy Lay (1869 - 1934) : real name William Ellsworth Lay >an outlaw of the old West in the U.S. Member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch Gang.
- Eugen Weidmann (1908 - 1939) : German criminal and serial killer > he was executed by guillotine in France in June 1939 , the last public execution in France.
- George Curry (1871 - 1900) : Canadian-American robber > member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch - He was killed by a sheriff while rustling in Grand County, Utah on April 17, 1900 at the age of 29 years old.
- Gilles de Rais (1405 - 1440): a leader in the French army during the Hundred Years War and a companian-in-arms of Joan of Arc. He is best known for his reputation and later conviction as a confessed serial killer of Children. He was sentenced in 1440 , to be strangled and then burned.
- Harvey Logan (1867-1904) : also known as "Kid Curry" > member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch - He was killed on June 7, 1904 at Parachute, Colorado.
- Hawley Harvey Crippen (Dr.) (1862 - 1910) : American homeopath, ear and eye specialist > he was hanged in Pentonville Prison, London for the murder of his wife, Cora Henrietta Crippen. The first criminal to be captured with the aid of wireless telegraphy.
- Henriette Caillaux (1874 - 1943) : a Parisian socialite and second wife of the former Prime Minister of France, Joseph Caillaux. On 16 March 1914, she shot and killed Gaston Calmette, editor of the newspaper Le Figaro.
- Henry Methvin (1912 - 1948) : an American criminal, remembered as the final member of the Barrow Gang (Bonnie and Clyde). On 19 April 1948, he was intoxicated and while attempting to cross a railroad track, he was killed by an oncoming train.
- Henry Wainwright (1832 - 1875) : English murderer, dubbed as the "Whitechapel murderer". He murdered his mistress Harriet Louisa Lane in September 1874. He was sentenced to death and hanged on 21 December 1875.
- Ian Brady & Myra Hindly : The Moors Murders > a series of child killings between 1963 - 1965.
- Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (1960 - 1994) : known as Milwaukee Cannibal - American serial killer and sex offender who killed and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He was sentenced to 15 terms of life imprisonment on February 1992. He was beaten to death by a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin, U.S.A on November 1994.
- Jesse James (1847 - 1882) : Born Jesse Woodson James > American outlaw, bank and train robber. He was shot and killed by Robert Ford on 3 April 1882.
- Jesse Michael Anderson (1957 - 1994) : American criminal > convicted of the murder of his wife, Barbara Anderson. He was murdered in 1994 by a fellow inmate and convicted murderer Christopher Scarver.
- John Christie (1899 - 1953): full name John Reginald Halliday Christie > English serial killer and serial rapist during 1940s and early 1950ss. He murdered at least 8 people including his wife. He was executed on 15 July 1953.
- John Dillinger (1903 - 1934) : real name is John Herbert Dillinger > an American gangster - he was shot and killed by the special agents on July 22, 1934.
- John Wayne Gacy (1942 - 1994) : American serial killer and sex offender who raped, tortured and murdered at least 33 young men and boys in Chicago, Illinois. Knows the "The Killer Clown". Executed by lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Center on May 10, 1994.
- Katherine Mary Knight (1955 - ) : an Australian murderer and the first woman in the country's history to be sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole - convicted for the murder of her partner, John Charles Thomas Price in February 2000.
- Laura Bullion (1876 - 1961) : an outlaw of the Old West, member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch gang, Arrested on November 6, 1901 and died December 2, 1961 at the age of 88.
- Lizzie Borden @ Lizzie Andrew Borden (1860 - 1927) : American woman who was tried and acquitted of the August 4, 1892 axe murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts.
- Mary Ann Cotton(1832 - 1873) : English woman convicted murderer who was executed for poisoning her stepson and is believed to have been a serial killer who killed many others. She was hanged at Durham Gaol on 24 March 1873.
- Manson Family: Susan Atkins, Charles Denton Tet Watson and Patricia Krenwinkel, entered the home of Hollywood actress Sharon Tate and merdered her and four others.
- Mona Fandey @ Nur Maznah bt Ismail (1956 - 2001) : a Malaysian pop singer and murderer. She was executed on 2 November 2001 at the age of 45, after being convicted of the murder of Batu Talam State assemblyman, Mazlan Idris in 1993.
- Orville Lynn Majors (1961 - 2017) : licensed practical Nurse > convicted of murdering his patients in Clinton, Indiana, U.S.A. between 1993 and 1995. Died of heart failure at Indiana State Prison in Michigan City on September 24, 2017.
- Robert Newton Ford (1861 - 1892) : commonly known as Robert Ford > an American outlaw who killed fellow outlaw Jesse James on April 3, 1882.
- Robin Hood: a legendary outlaw thought to have lived in Sherwood Forest near Nottingham during the Middle Ages.
- Ronald Joseph DeFeo Jr. (1951 - 2021) : American Mass Murderer - tried and convicted for the 1974 killings of his father, mother, two brothers and two sisters in Amityville, New York. He was sentenced to 25 years to life. he died in prison on March 12, 2021. The case inspired the book and film version of The Amityville Horror.
- Sundance Kid @ Harry Alonzo Longabaugh (1867 - 1908) : outlaw and member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch. He was killed in a shootout in November 1908.
- Susan Denise Atkins (1948 - 2009) : American convicted murderer - a member of Manson Family - committed a series of 9 murders in California. She was commuted to life imprinsonment. Died in 2009.
- Ted Bundy @ Theodore Robert Bundy (1946 - 1989) : American serial Killter who kinapped, raped and murdered dozens of young women and girls during the 70s. He was executed by electrocution on January 24, 1989.
- Thomas Neill Cream (1850 - 1892) : also known as "Lambeth Poisoner", a Scottish-Canadian medical doctor > a serial killer who poisoned his victims with Strychnine. He murdered up to 10 people in 3 countries. He was convicted and sentenced to death and was hanged on 15 November 1892.
- William Carver (1868 - 1901) : American outlaw > member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch gang - he was ambushed and killed by Sheriff E.S. Briant and his deputies in April 2, 1901.
- William Daniel Jones (1916 - 1974) : a member of the Barrow Gang, American criminal folklore. Died of gunshot wound on August 20, 1974 at the aged of 58.
- Zheng Yi Sao (1775 - 1844) : Chinese female pirate leader active in the South China Sea from 1801 to 1810.
